We were excited last week to announce support for the latest Océ Colorwave series of devices, including the 500, 700 and 900. But this week, we add an entirely new manufacturer: Ricoh!
Ricoh’s current wide format portfolio is supported, as well as legacy printers you may still have out in the field. And, as we’ve found out, there are many legacy Ricoh printers hanging out in the nooks and crannies of customers, still plugging away after years of use.
Supported Ricoh Models:
Ricoh cw2200sp, w7100, w5100, w3601, w3600, w2400, 480w, 240w
And how do I find those Ricoh printers on my customer’s networks, you ask? Easy, use Device Discovery!
Printerpoint’s Device Discovery feature finds network-connected large format printers on small and large networks. Our customers typically install the Printerpoint Agent on the same subnet as their printers so, in order for them to get up and running without a lot of extra configuration, we automatically scan the subnet on which the Agent has been installed.
During a network scan, the Printerpoint Agent has been designed to check in with the Printerpoint server to report its progress and which, if any, large format printers it has discovered. Discovered devices are listed on the Customer>Device Discovery pane.
During a scan, you can see how many IPs have been scanned so far or cancel the network scan on the Customer > Installed Agents pane. You can also enter a different IP range and scan your network again at any time.
